About 2000 years ago
God sent down His Son
It was to this world a ransom
For all the wrongs they'd done
The soldiers nailed Him to a cross
Oh, My, the blood He shed,
They laughed and mocked and spat on Him
In 6 hours , He was dead.
For three days, He laid in His tomb
Like the prophets said back then
God spoke to Him, and He arose
To go back home again
He died so that we might have
The right to live again,
Who else would have give their life
There is no Dearer Friend
He's still our Mediator
When we need a helping hand
He's watching us from God's Throne
Getting ready to come again,
So Please be ready, Brothers
Oh, Sisters hear my plea,
He's coming back for His Church
Including you and me
Will you be ready when He comes?
Will your robe be white as snow
For all the Glory, He has in store
The human mind don't know
I want to meet Him with a shout
I'll kneel down at His feet
I want to thank Him for all He's done
When face to face we meet
