Sitting In My Prison Cell

Sitting In My Prison Cell

Sitting in my prison cell!
I think of you and talk out loud!
I know I have myself to blame!
For that something was so lame!

I hear your voice inside my head!
Then wrote in words what I've said!
Just outside these prison walls!
Was your voice that had called!

My life was over for what I've done!
But my darling you're my one!
To smell your skin or touch your face!
Would make my cell a better place!

I think of you as I read!
"Cause my dear your all I need!
Honey pie I miss you so!
There's one thing I'll let you know!

My heart cries out for you alone!
I hope you're there till I come home!
I've asked the "Lord" to forgive me!
Because he knew there was a we!

Please believe me when I say this!
God had washed my sins away!
If by chance you get this note!
Lock it tight inside our tote!

Looking through the hourglass!
Wishing I could clear this mess!
But now my life belongs to God!
Who has shown me nothing but Love!

Like two Angels that lit my path!
I know someday I'll be back!

He upholds the cause of the oppressed
and gives food to the hungry.
The LORD sets prisoners free,
