Poetry by Donna Patri (Family Secret)

First God creates the children, putting thought into each one
then carefully decides who is a daughter or a son
He spends alot of time, shaping each one with His hands
yet never does He tire, this takes time, he understands.

He makes a large variety, some short and some are tall,
but never does He choose who is the best out of them all...
He loves them all the same for they are each His work of art
and hopes that love and kindness grows in each and every heart.

When finished with this careful task, He then creates two lines,
upon His right, a row of dads, of many different kinds...
and to His left the mothers stand, He blesses every one,
He then plans what their futures hold, a daughter or a son...

Then finally the mom and dad are sent to live on Earth
where they will meet and fall in love, resulting in a birth.
The child He once had chosen for this mom and dad to raise
is brought into their world for them to cherish and to praise.

The circle has been chosen long before the world could see,
It's just God's little "secret", how He makes a family...
